TWINSBURG: A Summit County company agreed to pay a $22,920 civil fine to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to resolve hazardous-waste violations.
Durga Inc., doing business as Ohio Circuits, was cited by EPA inspectors in April 2006 for numerous violations. That includes failing to meet requirements for the design, installation, operation and inspection of two hazardous-waste storage tanks.
The company also failed to properly mark hazardous-waste storage containers, did not provide fire-control, spill-control and decontamination equipment in the storage area, failed to develop and maintain a hazardous-waste contingency plan and failed to develop and implement a hazardous-waste training program for employees.
Ohio Circuits makes printed circuit boards and is a large-quantity generator of hazardous wastes.
